Can the conversation grow up? Alex Jones says no. Very, very loudly. (As does our comment section.) And if you can make it a couple of minutes into this video without turning the volume to mute, he gets even louder.

Me, I want to see how he’s going to use his guns against the Predator drones he brings up. These guys can’t protect themselves from tyranny, let alone anybody else. It’s a vapid argument. I’m also confused about how Jones’ ancestors were central to both sides of the Texan fight against Santa Ana.

Anyway. Worth noting, too, that the Far Right advocates for a stronger and stronger military, then advocates for guns to protect us from the same military going rogue. Which leads to yet more tortured logic: if the military can turn bad, why is it always assumed that “law-abiding” gun owners will never turn bad?

All of this because some of us think we ought to make it harder to get the most efficient killing tools. Not–repeat, not–try to ban all guns.
