To say much this harried, distracted morning on this blog would be a stretch.

Instead of three good things, three grateful things or even three links, I’ll share three random things:

One: Two episodes from the end of Homeland’s first season, I dream about spies.

Two: Loads of delicious moments with my ten year-old, including the wonderful one yesterday in which he demonstrated his newfound yo-yo abilities to his duly impressed godfather.

Three: All those misty photographs posted from New England and Long Island on Sunday, I’m so glad I was outside a bit to see, feel and smell the very odd, thick day, which made me think of dewy beads on spider webs.

My hardest New Year’s Resolution is to praise myself every day. I can only report that it’s hard. Here’s one: I am persistent.

I leave you with a smooch, because smooches are good things.
