Two musicians I’ve recently heard for the first time: Bambi Lee Savage and Anna Calvi. They are similar in some ways, offering moody, expansive songs with heavy guitar presence. Calvi sports about as huge a Telecaster plus Vox AC30 tone as you’re likely to find, a spectacularly tasty collaboration of string and vacuum tubes.
