Opening acts are Turkuaz, Sophistafunk, Fat Bradley. Where’s the lumps in yo funk? — Kristin Palpini

How do you stage an electrifying story with only two actors? Casting one of them as Martin Luther King, Jr. certainly helps. Set at a motel, Katori Hall’s Olivier Award-winning drama imagines a conversation between King and a brash, irreverent maid during his final night on earth. Wed. Thu. and Sat. at 8 p.m.; Thu., Fri., and Sun. at 2 p.m. Chester Theatre, 15 Middlefield Road, Chester. chestertheatre.org. — Hunter Styles

Photos by Dan LittleThe Mole in Greenfield – Wednesday

It takes a lot of guts to get up in front of a crowd and tell a five-minute story without notes, but that’s exactly what a numbero f brave souls will be doing this Wednesday night at the Arts Block in Greenfield. I’ve never been to one of these events, but I’m a big fan of live storytelling and I’m looking forward to hearing some of the tales local folks have to tell. 6:30 p.m. The Arts Block, 289 Main St., Greenfield. — Peter Vancini
