Thursday offers a festive evening of Latin food and music with Criollo Clasico Trio, one of the most eclectic Caribbean musical ensembles touring today. Sliding playfully between Latin, classical, Afro-Cuban, and jazz, the band — led by famed Puerto Rico music veteran Jose Gonzalez — draws world music sounds and ideas into a intimate local space. It’s hosted by the TreeCat Café, a monthly performance venue run by high school and college-aged youth of the Treehouse Community, an inter-generational organization designed to support families who are fostering and adopting children.
