The Strange One’s Ball: A New Year’s Eve Spectacle Starring Bella’s Bartok

Come see what Pearl Street Nightclub is calling, “The greatest show on Earth … Probably.” The Strange One’s Ball is a line up of folk punk music, dancing, and circus-like theatrics. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

 

Rubblebucket at Gateway City Arts

Gateway City Arts, 92-114 Race St., Holyoke

Brooklyn-based band Rubblebucket is bringing their signature indie rock sound to Western Mass this New Year’s for a two night set that starts Friday the 30th and goes until Saturday the 31st. Their New Year’s Eve show starts at 9 p.m. and goes until, well, the new year. Tickets are $30.

 

Enter The Haggis at Iron Horse Music Hall

Iron Horse Music Hall, 20 Center St, Northampton

Haggis Heads rejoice, Enter the Haggis is playing this New Year’s Eve at the Iron Horse in Northampton. Beckoning back to their original sound with their 20th anniversary album Cheers and Echos, expect to hear some hard rock and bagpipes. Show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $30.

 

New Year’s Eve Bash with Home Body, Carinae, and Hot Dirt

The Root Cellar, 10 Fiske Ave., Greenfield

Join Hot Dirt, Carinae, and Home Body ring in the new year at The Root Cellar in Greenfield. What they described as an experience that’s fun for all the senses, visitors can expect art installations, a photo booth, and of course great music. Show starts at 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $12.

 

The Truck Stop Troubadours New Year’s Eve Bash

Teresa’s Restaurant, 315 Palmer Road, Ware

This New Year’s, see the closest thing we have left to Johnny Cash at Teresa’s Restaurant in Ware. Starting with a reception hour of appetizers and a full six course family style meal, the Truck Stop Troubadours will give a live performance followed by a champagne toast and dancing until 1 a.m. Tickets are $60 and doors open at 6 p.m.

 

Northampton First Night

Downtown Northampton

Come to downtown Northampton and enjoy over 20 venues hosting performances and activities the whole family can enjoy. Starting at 6:15 p.m. the 32nd annual event ends with a ball rise at the Northampton Hotel. The event ends at midnight.

 

Lord Jeffery Inn New Year’s Eve Dinner

30 Boltwood Ave., Amherst

If you’re looking for a more relaxed and intimate way to bring in the New Year’s, then come to famous Lord Jeffery Inn at Amherst for a celebration dinner. Starting at 5:30 p.m. the classic dinner will last until 10 p.m. The meal costs $100.

 

Holyoke’s Annual First Night Jr.

Holyoke Heritage State Park, 221 Appleton St., Holyoke

If you’re looking for a way to get the kids involved in this year’s New Year’s celebration, the Annual First Night Jr. is the way to go. Classic children’s activities like a clown, bounce house, and facepainting are followed by a ball drop with the mayor of Holyoke. The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and tickets are $8.

 

Chandler’s Restaurant Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party

Yankee Candle Village, 25 Greenfield Road, South Greenfield

Another way to include the kids this New Year, Yankee Candle Village known for family friendly fun is ringing in the new year at noon instead of midnight. Live entertainment will accompany kids who will give an apple cider toast. The event starts at 11 a.m and ends at 1 p.m.

 

Hu Ke Lau New Year’s Eve Hawaiian Show

Hu Ke Lau, 705 Memorial Dr, Chicopee

The Hu Ke Lau in Chicopee is offering two upbeat Hawaiian shows on New Year’s Eve. Early birds can catch the 4 p.m. show, or if you’re in it for the long haul, you can see the 7 p.m. show. Make sure to get some beverages while you’re there. Tickets cost $10.

 

New Year’s Eve at the Log Cabin

The Log Cabin, 500 Easthampton Road, Holyoke

The Log Cabin is having a holiday dinner dancing party this New Year’s Eve. For $140 a couple, you get food, wine, and a night of dancing. The night ends with a midnight toast and again, more dancing. The event starts at 6 p.m.

 

2nd Annual Dance Party in the Lounge

The Lounge, 4 High St., Brattleboro

The Lounge is hosting its second annual New Year’s Eve dance party. The festivities start at 10 p.m. with snacks, dancing, and a toast at midnight. Tickets cost $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Bright Nights at Forest Park will be hosting a family friendly New Year’s Eve festival. Kids will be able to take advantage of multiple activities, a free party hat and noisemaker, and of course, the Bright Nights lights.

Offering a wide variety of dishes, Chef Josef is hosting their annual New Year’s Eve gala for those looking to stay in for the holiday. This year they’re serving dishes from around the country, and having a DJ and midnight champagne toast. Tickets are $60 and the cocktail reception starts at 7:30 p.m.
