Nevertheless …

Democrat and U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren’s new book, This Fight is Our Fight: The Battle to Save America’s Middle Class, published April 18, champions progressive economic policies by examining how the United States built its strong middle class from the New Deal of the 1930s to the present, and chronicles recent efforts to undermine working families. During her book talk, Warren will also offer “candid accounts of her battles in the Senate, vivid stories about her life and work,” and a plan for advancing progressive politics. Warren has written 10 books previous to this, notably her  autobiography, A Fighting Chance. A portion of proceeds from the talk will go to Massachusetts food banks, including The Greater Boston Food Bank and the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.

Elizabeth Warren: Friday, April 21. 7 p.m.; doors at 6 p.m. Free and open to the public; limited $30 VIP tickets available for seating at the front. Chapin Auditorium, Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley. mtholyoke.edu.
