Best Private/charter/alternative School - Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School

PVPA is best known for having the most outstanding performing arts programs of any public or secondary school in the Pioneer Valley. In it’s 21st year as a Massachusetts Commonwealth Charter Public School, the head of school, Scott Goldman has been there for six years. “The arts scene in the Valley is second to none and I could not imagine living or working in a community or geographic region where there was not a deep appreciation for the arts,” he said. “We make time for the arts and we make time for what’s happening in the universe and I think that’s why people are really happy to send their kids to school here.” The faculty and staff love what they do and inspire the students to achieve. The school recently celebrated the first anniversary of its on-campus performing arts center. People at PVPA are thrilled and honored to win Best in this category. We’re thankful to voters, Goldman said.
