Art in a (Butter)Nutshell

Strolling through booths of fine art with a glass of wine in your hand underneath a sunny sky in the Berkshires isn’t a bad way to spend an afternoon, or two. That’s what you’ll get at the 16th Berkshires Arts Festival at the Ski Butternut resort. This year’s event boasts 200 jury-selected artists and designers who will show and sell their jewelry, textiles, wood, furniture, ceramics, leather, glass, sculpture, photography, paintings, and other artistic creations. There will also be music, interactive puppet shows, potter’s wheel demos, food, and booze.

Berkshires Arts Festival, July 1-3, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m./ 5 p.m. on Monday, $7-$14; kids under 12, free. Ski Butternut, Route 32, Great Barrington.
