37th Annual Catfish Derby

You know what it is: One of the biggest catfish tournaments in the Northeast returns to the Valley this weekend. Fishing is open to the Connecticut River and all its tributaries. The biggest fish wins the biggest cash prize. Prizes are awarded for 1st through 20th place, and there are three trophies in the 14-years-and -younger division. Only live fish will be weighed and you’ve got to bring them to HQ on Saint Kolbe Drive in Holyoke.

37th Annual Catfish Derby: From Friday, July 14, 7 p.m., through July 16, 2 p.m. 50 Saint Kolbe Drive, Holyoke. $10 per ticket, multiple entries allowed, but only one winner per ticket.
