Maureen is overweight and single, her sister Sheila is slim and married, and neither of them is getting any younger. Maureen uses self-deprecating humor to mask her insecurities, while Sheila depends on cosmetic surgery. In Jon Lonoff’s romantic comedy Skin Deep, a blind date sets things up for both sisters’ unspoken fears and tensions to boil over.
