A musical of biblical proportions, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is presented this January by Amherst Leisure Services. The show, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, follows the story of Joseph, a father's favorite child whose claim to fame is his ability to interpret dreams. As Joseph's popularity and reputation swell, he is summoned by the pharaoh of Egypt himself to interpret a dream. Joseph explains to him that there is to be a famine. In a panic, the pharaoh appoints Joseph his second-in-command and orders the preparation of all of Egypt for the upcoming catastrophe.
