I heard a speech that utterly uninspired and as middle-of-the-road suck-up as can be. Hard to believe it was the same guy who made that great race speech, and several others, less than two years ago. Of course, all the assholes on the right wing radio and TV heard Mao-tse-frickin-Tung. Go figure. One little nod to the gays, and that was bout it as far as anything vaguely "left" about it, no?
Hey Dems, since when were the "middle class" the only people with needs in this country? Oh, that's right, the poor don't vote, at least not for Democrats they don't, our public schools have learnt 'em better than that.
The parties talk about the unemployed as if even they're part of the g.d. middle class. Got you're house foreclosed on? Got six-figure debt? No problem, you can still be in the club. It's like when they poll people and everyone responds they're "above average" intelligence. Used to be there were poor people and a working class in America. Thank God (and we do, we do thank Him, every day, for blessing our great nation) we're all middle class now, playing the market and worrying about our IRAs and 401ks, which private school to send our kids to.
Blech, that's what I say, blech to the whole lot of 'em, corporate shills one and all. And, after the court decision last week, soon it won't even be tacit shilldom. They'll be wearing logo caps on the floor of Congress before the decade ends, mark my words.
And God bless the United States of America.
Does this post make me look bitter?
