The story includes some background about Commonwealth Academy, which sounds like an interesting and exciting place.
• Also in the Reminder, Mike Dobbs reports on housing potential in the South End and the always-welcome news that a business—in this case, Titan Roofing—is moving to town.
• Finally, WAMC’s Paul Tuthill reports on the announcement earlier this week of state funds to replace the crummy stretch of I-91 through Springfield—and the particularly encouraging news that the work will include “studying the possibility of depressing a portion of the highway to street level or below.” A fix to the awful, long-ago decision to site the highway so it cuts downtown off from the riverfront? Dare we hope?
