For 38 years the A.P.E. Gallery has been showcasing off-beat and important works of art that can’t be found in other galleries. Their shows are edgy, punk, and loud as well as reflective and mesmerizing. This month, the gallery is celebrating its nearly four decades in business with an exhibit of “microworks” — 6 by 6 by 6 inches — by more than 100 alumni artists, those who have been featured by A.P.E. in the past. Some pieces are selling for under $150.

The A.P.E. Microworks Alum Show. Through Jan. 4. A.P.E. Gallery, 126 Main St., Northampton, (413) 586-5553.
