If you’re a member of Gen X, Sublime holds a special place in your heart. In the late ’90s, the band was playing the songs of your summer. Prozac for your ear is how I heard 99.3’s Leslie describe them, and that’s pretty accurate. Sublime released their megahit self-titled album just before frontman Bradley Nowell died of a heroin overdose that seemed to be foreshadowed in many of the band’s songs. This left many new fans just getting acquainted with the punk-ska-hip-hop-hippie-surfer sound Sublime brings replaying “Santeria” on repeat with little else to provide comfort. Sublime, however, has many excellent tunes and cover band Badfish knows them well. You might even catch yourself yelling from the crowd, “You’re the best, Bradley. Pop! Pop!”

Badfish, Make The Rules also performs. Monday, 7 p.m. Pearl Street Night Club, 10 Pearl St., Northampton, (413) 586-8686.
