Divest UMass supporters hold hands before leaving the Whitmore Administration Building after staging a sit-in for the fifth consecutive day Friday, April 15, demanding that UMass officials divest from fossil fuel companies. Though UMass has divested from coal and less than 1 percent of the university’s money is invested in other fossil fuels, that still makes up $5 million in investments in 200 dirty-energy companies.
