This Saturday, you can join the Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum for their annual celebration of Trolley No. 10's restoration and of the industries that the trolley line once served.

The trolley, built in Springfield in 1896, traveled between the cotton mills in Colrain and the Boston & Maine Rail line in Shelburne Falls for nearly 30 years, crossing over the historic Bridge of Flowers, before the trolley line was closed in favor of trucking. Trolley No. 10 is the only restored trolley in the Northeast to travel on its original tracks.

For three dollars visitors get a day-long pass to ride the historic trolley, power the pump car themselves and visit the museum, but also included at Trolleyfest are a number of activities to help visitors learn about the industries once served by the light rail line. Blacksmithing, a cider press, and other agriculture demonstrations are on hand, and the restored wooden CV Caboose is available for rides.

And if that isn't enough, Civil War re-enactors, the 10th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Militia Co. C, are camping out on the grounds of the Trolley Museum the entire weekend to recreate a military skirmish.

June 27, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m., $3 for rides and activities, 14 Depot St., Shelburne Falls, www.sftm.org.
