If you're looking for smoky jazz in June, grab tickets to see Madeleine Peyroux at the Calvin. Peyroux grew up in the U.S., but got her career started in Paris, where she sang on the street as a teenager. This week Peyroux slinks into town on a tour in support of her fourth solo album, Bare Bones. Though she's done a lot of covers and standards in the past (including tunes by Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and others), Bones is Peyroux's first album of wholly-original tracks. Bluesman Kelly Joe Phelps opens.

June 26, $23.50-38.50, 8:00 p.m., Calvin Theater, 19 King St., Northampton, (413) 584-1444, www.iheg.com.
