Paul-derol..
I found it really strange and a little disturbing to read your gushing enthusiasm for Ron Paul ["The Book on Paul," June 28, 2007].
Yes, he's anti-war. But he's also anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage and anti-gun control. If he could, he would disassemble Medicare, Social Security and every other helpful government social welfare program ever developed.
You wouldn't want to be poor or disadvantaged or minority in Ron Paul's world, where you would be "encouraged" to work it out for yourself.

Editors' note: Though Paul is well known to be pro-life in his personal convictions, he stated in his interview with reporter Phil Maymin, "The Constitution does not authorize the federal government to regulate abortion." He added, "Murder is illegal all over the country, with variations across the states regarding manslaughter versus murder and its degrees. Similarly, abortion should be decided at the state level."

…or "groundbreaking, refreshing"?
The Valley Advocate has proven itself to be independent of the corporate owned Media-tocracy with its article about Ron Paul.
While Fox News interviews Dr. Paul without giving him a chance to answer the questions, while CNN cuts his time during the debates, while they all dismiss his outstanding performance in all the on-line polls, the Advocate has given him the front-and-center place his groundbreaking and refreshing ideas deserve.
Thanks so much for being a refreshing source for truth in these times of corporate-controlled media.
