Northampton-based The Performance Project, which creates and performs "high quality original works of theater and movement with men and women in jail, and those who have been released from jail," is slated to take the stage of the Esther B. Griswold Theatre (corner of State and Homer Streets) at American International College tonight and tomorrow, both shows at 7:00 pm, in a performance of "A Warning for the King."

The six-person performance is about "the themes of greed and corruption, loss of voice, chaos and addiction, and the power of speaking the truth." (Pictured above: the group’s 2002 performance, "Not So Very Far From Here.")

The show is technically free but there is a $10 suggested donation at the door. If you miss it this time around, catch it in early February at Holyoke Community College.
