The Massachusetts chapter of the American Planning Association hosts its annual holiday luncheon on Friday, December 15, in Parris (via Ned Devine‘s) at Faneuil Hall.

Awards will be offered for distinguished leadership or service to a professional planner; to a planner who has contributed to the advancement of women in planning; to a legislator of the year; to a citizen planner; for distinguished service to the chapter’s development; and for a special project.

Additional awards for outstanding planning are evaluated by five criteria: innovation, quality, transferability, implementation, and comprehensiveness. They will be presented on Friday in the categories of comprehensive planning, a specific planning project, social advocacy, student work, and media, which this year will be gratefully accepted by Urban Compass.
