The ever-expanding Springfield blogosphere receives a new addition to the mix next week: MassLive.com is launching a maiden podcast, on Wednesday, April 11, of an interview with Springfield Mayor Charles Ryan (pictured).
It will be the first regular podcast of its type—twice-monthly sit-downs with the mayor—and the producers are inviting you to participate.
Visit an online form to submit questions to ask Mayor Ryan.
On April 11, one of these questions will be selected to pose during an interview, along with other questions from MassLive.com staff. The podcast will be available for listening via a new blog on the same day.
MassLive.com has created a new "Springfield" section of its site for civic engagement
Producer Kristen Beam says, "We see these future podcasts as an opportunity for the public to connect with Mayor Ryan in a different medium. This will be somewhat like Governor [Deval] Patrick’s podcasts, available via an RSS feed. I anticipate that I will ask questions relevant to the issues of the week, with the intended audience being the residents of Springfield."
