The public forum and panel discussion about the changing nature of journalism, which I mentioned last month, is taking place tonight, 6:30 to 9:00 pm, at the Springfield City Library downtown. A similar event took place a week ago in Boston, with attendance of about 35 to 40 people; streaming video of the event is now available for viewing.
If you’re a reader of this blog, you are most heartily invited to attend tonight and share your views about how online journalism can build stronger community ties, better inform and/or educate the public, and any number of related issues about "restoring trust" in the media. I will be one member of the four-person panel.
