Utilizing Twitter Paolo can send live reports while out in the field. He describes Twitter as a free online service which enables people to publish text from mobile phones or instant messages to a Twitter page online. Paolo created two sites Northamptonist blog a conventional blog at http://northamptonist.blogspot.com, and Northamptonist twitter a twitter at http://twitter.com/Northamptonist, using this service.
Paolo’s first entries on the blog include a story about a Vermont Yankee Cooling Tower structure collapsing and the deteriorating condition of a New South Street bridge in Northampton. Northamptonist also comments on the Kohl North Street proposal and the Hilton Garden Inn infill developments.
