For all of you impatient little twits out there, please be aware that we just moved our offices to Northampton last weekend and are still ironing out some technological kinks.

That being said, it is notable that we have already given quite a bit of coverage already to both Curious Buddies and the exploits of the entrepreneurial Mark Sheehan, EVEN THOUGH he charged me FULL PRICE to get into the Sierra Grille last Thursday to see some awful band that played after Jeff Loyd. But that’s okay–Neal Robinson bought me a beer and provided me with lively conversation. And we agreed that that band should have definitely opened with a mixolydian Moog solo if they truly wanted to hold our attention for more than a nanosecond.

I myself was privy to the Buddies’ CD before its pressing, and y’all can read my take on it at the link to Behind The Beat: Curioser. The other links detail Mark’s efforts in staging the Happy Valley Showdown at The Basement, and Gary Carra’s biopic of the Springfield ex-pat and his admittedly admirable laboring on behalf of the local scene. If you need more–go buy the album!! Or, as is currently fashionable, you may simply steal some at www.myspace.com/curiousbuddies.
