Not content to wait for nature (or groundhogs) to put an end to winter, the folks at wünderarts are taking matters into their own hands and bringing spring to Amherst. Spring as in SPRING, an exhibition of artwork by painter Sean Greene and photographer Sloan Tomlinson.
Greene exhibits Calligraph paintings, brightly colored works populated with bands of color that resemble paths leading the eye around the canvas.
Sloan Tomlinson’s Lux Insum series features vibrant photographs (including the one pictured). Instead of digitally altering his photographs to create a sense of unrealism, Tomlinson damages the film which captured the images through exposure to extreme temperature and chemicals.
