Northampton, Massachusetts – 42 citizens of Northampton, in a formal zoning enforcement request submitted on their behalf by their attorney, have asked that the City of Northampton Building Commissioner take appropriate action against the City’s long-standing series of zoning violations in the operation of the landfill on Glendale Road (please see enforcement request attached). (SEE LINK BELOW)
Mike Fedora of 238 Glendale Road said "these violations are serious. It is shocking to us that these violations have gone on for so long, and that the City has not required its own activities to comply with the zoning code as it would with private developers. There should not be a double standard."
The attached zoning enforcement request was sent to Anthony Patillo, Building Commissioner. The enforcement request outlines the lack of permits to operate the landfill and private utility.
