The Best Practices Committee will be holding a live open public forum
for discussing the decision making process of the northampton city
government as well as for people to share their experiences with the
Best Practices Committee about city government

The Ad Hoc Committee for Best Practices in Northampton Decision-Making
was appointed by the Northampton City Council in February 2008. In
keeping with the Council’s resolution and our Mission Statement, will
be reviewing "….the City’s municipal decision-making practices …
and recommending practices that will foster the general democratic
enterprise of being responsive and responsible to the fiscal,
economic, social, and environmental interests of its citizens". The
Committee has adopted a consensus model for decision-making. Visit the
