The ultimate cross of evangelical-speak and politics?

The Washington Post found a real gem in the new Department of Justice report saying yes, Bushies done broke the law. Remember Monica Goodling, the softspoken, earnest woman who was vetting DOJ candidates for sufficient Republicanism? The one who appeared before Congress with a sort of wide-eyed forgetfulness about everything and seemed clueless that hiring based on being a Republican is like, illegal? From the Post:

"Goodling regularly asked candidates for career jobs, ‘What is it about George W. Bush that makes you want to serve him?’"

That’s enough to make you hurl.

I can think of a few answers, though. My top three:

It’s how he chuckles with that little "heh heh" business. That’s just so cute!

I just love how he goes on about "freedom" and stuff, even though he can’t define it.

Well, I figure if I "serve" him, he probably will tap my phone, but he’ll do it, you know, just for fun.
