The public process which created a Land Use Plan for the Meadows in 2005 is the focus of a public forum Monday, August 25 at JFK Middle School. The City’s Best Practice Committee is bringing together many of the original participants to create an accurate story of what happened and how. What began as an angry public confrontation in 2003, evolved during the course of numerous meetings into workable compromise and a coherent vision for the future of almost 4,000 acres of Connecticut River floodplain. The forum begins at 5:30 PM in the JFK Middle School community room on Bridge Road in Florence, is free and open to the public.
