Suzanna Schlemm didn’t discover her penchant for painting until the beginning of the 21st century. After working in the advertising industry for a decade, Schlemm left Rio de Janeiro and moved to New York City, where she enrolled at the New York Studio School to study painting. Since 2001, the ad guru-turned-painter has exhibited work across the Americas in prestigious venues like Rio de Janeiro’s Parque das Ruinas museum and taken part in multiple projects such as the San Francisco International Museum of Women’s “Imagining Ourselves Project.”
