School Street Bistro, dubbed "the Place to Be" and located in the heart of Westfield, is an upscale eatery offering lunch Monday through Friday, dinner seven nights per week, and live music Friday through Sunday. Although the bistro just welcomed new owners, Bob Keehn (one of the newbies) maintains that the restaurant's commitment to providing live music every weekend remains as strong as ever.

"Music is a very important process [in running a restaurant]," said Keehn in a recent interview with the Advocate. Every month a rotating cast of musicians, including guitarist/vocalist Don Caven, guitarist/vocalist Christopher John, Train Wreck, and Steve Piper and the Roadhouse Band, provides "light entertainment" on Fridays. Saturdays feature pianists like Natalie Borowiec playing classical music while diners feast on specially prepared comestibles like Steak Pizziola and Citrus Zest Salmon.

And on Sunday, as the whirlwind of weekend activity draws to a close, the bistro provides diners and music lovers a place to relax and rejuvenate while taking in some exceptional jazz. The Sunday night roster boasts jazzophiles like Espresso Jazz, Pair Extraordinaire and the Mike Curran duo, to name a few."
