Hey, gang,
I'm finally recovering from election night celebration and am ready to start celebrating some more. Please add a comment or something celebratory about this "historic" election. Add a link!I wish that more positive words were being used than just "change" and "historic." Both of thosecan be positive or negative. How about this WICKED AWESOME election!!!!!!!!!!
Anywho, here's a link to some great photos (by Anja)from election night at the Voo! (the above photo is us watching the acceptance speech. Just look at those faces!
Ya know, I hate parades, but this time, I wanna go – so where's the damn parade?!? !Hey Montagueans, wanna have a parade this weekend? Noho, you having one? Springfield?
Sure Barack is way more of a centrist than I'd pick, and as such, he will surely disappoint, but I really really believe that this man is driven to make this country, this world (I loved his references to the the whole world in his acceptance speech – if it bordered on the messianic at times, so be it) a better place for as many people as possible, and that, in itself, is a cause for celebration. And, dammit, I just plain like him. I have a president, at least for now, I can really like, and how sweet is that. Very very sweet, that's how sweet.
The race is over – the end of race is beginning in earnest. I absolutely love how much that scares and upsets some people (ie, white supremicists – heck, racists and seperatists of any color), I really do. My next goal:the first atheist president! And let's make her a woman to boot!
