NORTHAMPTON, Mass (abc40)– Seven families living at the Meadowbrook apartment complex in Florence had to evacuate Saturday when raw sewage started backing up in their bathrooms.
Benjamin Warawka said he heard a loud noise, opened the bathroom door and his toilet was overflowing and the tub was filled to the top with brown water.It spread into the living quarters ruined much of what they owned."We lost all of my daughter's clothes," he said, "We lost all my daughter's toys.We lost the Christmas presents that we had.We lost all of our food that we just bought."
