Hello Dear Readers,

Just wanted to drop you a line. I'm not around so much these next weeks. I'm in Albany with my mom, who's getting ready to leave this world. If you know her from my writing, you know that we have an etremely close, intense, mostly incredible relationship. You may have even read her replies to my posts (she's "Sheila"). She's giving me a last lesson – how to die, she's really doing an amazingly graceful job of it, she's ready to let go. I'd write more, but part of me feels that is is somehow wrong to do, that I'm burdening you with this. I'm sure I'll write more about her in the future in these "pages."

For now, on a much lighter note, here's a picture of a design that I collaborated with Anja on and we're really proud of. Actually, she really did 90% of it, I just thought of the concept of using Peeps for peeps. We have started our own little creative enterprise we're calling "Cola Saitux (pretty media)" and this is our first public project. And yes it will soon be available on t-shirts, undies, mugs, you name it, here (but for now, check out the "I heart boobies" collection – actually, that's really a Cola Saitux endeavor as well, as I think I came up with the concept (didn't I, honey? – they make great stocking- or bra- stuffers!).

So, hey, crafty peeps, unite at the Rendezvous on Tuesday craft nights, for example, say, and, any time, anywhere, please raise a glass or spill onefor Sheila Berger, a great mother, great human being. (I'd post a picture of her, but I think she'd summon the energy to get up out of bed and kill me if I did.)
