Remote blogging is a fine path to amusement. Which is to say, in a tough time and from my current undisclosed location, I have checked into the blogosphere and discovered something that relieves the synapses of their weightiness. I still can't figure out why anybody cares about Twitter. I don't want to know when my friends are clipping nose hairs. I just don't want them to do it within earshot. It's as if actions don't have independent meaning anymore until and unless one has blogged about, Tweeted or otherwise broadcast those actions. And that' neurotic, no?

But I have discovered what Twitter is actually for–keeping up with Christopher Walken. It's like a cross between Stephen Wright and Freshman English papers. The latter of which are among my favorite things if I don't have to grade them and find all the compelling miss steaks.
