Nonhle is one of over 1,000 AIDS orphans that Young Heroes Foundation,
a Northampton-based nonprofit, supports in Swaziland – the country with

This year, to make the Day of the African Child into a day of action
on the orphan’s behalf, we’re planning “Art for the Orphans,” an African dance party and art auction, including pieces made specially by Swazi artists and craftspeople.

You can help by creating a simple piece in any medium on the theme of young heroes,
or by contributing a small piece that you’ve already created. These will be given
by lottery to everyone who buys a ticket to the event. Or, you could contribute
a more substantial work to the auction itself, under any conditions that you set.

Our goal: 200 pieces to thank our attendees and 10 works to auction live, along
with a silent auction of the Swazi contributions. Our deadline is June 1st.

Anything you contribute will help children who are in desperate need – and we
guarantee that 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the orphans.
