I'd love to think there's some sort of undiscovered beastie hanging out in Vermont. But the extraordinary claims one might like to believe versus what one can believe without extraordinary proof are certainly different things. My vote–see how stiffly this thing moves, and its weird stops and starts? I think, as in the immortal line from The Holy Grail, "it's only a model." But who knows? Not enough evidence to know anything, really.
Should be fun to see how it plays out, though. Nothing like a little crypto-mystery close to home.
