New reports have hit some other local blogs recently.

Check out Mary Serreze's for updates on Northampton's negative pension fund performance which turns out to be a positive. The city's -19% performance is the best of the worst I suppose, but it's something. The city has outperformed other municipalities in the state to minimize losses to the fund.

Mary also covers Jesse Adams' kick-off for an at-large city council seat, including an audio file of his remarks delivered the evening of June 24 at the Northampton Country Club.

Mike Kirby of Kirby on the Loose also has some new stories posted, including an update on Michael Smith of the Heritage loan banking scandal that cost taxpayers millions in bailouts and an audio file of the radio transmissions that occurred when a building at Meadowbrook caught fire recently. It's a large file so I suggest downloading it to your computer by right-clicking on the link and then clicking, "save target as." You can listen to it using a media player you prefer. Also posted is a PDF of a long forgotten Fire Dept. reorganization study conducted in 1997 under then mayor Mary Ford.

Of course Adam Cohen continues his steady and marvelous work covering city issues for the North Street Neighborhood Association, including video footage of the most recent meeting related to Kollmorgen and Hospital Hill.
