If the kids are getting restless in July, take them to see an interactive performance of Winnie-the-Pooh at the Paintbox Theatre in Northampton. Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger will be there, led by local storyteller Tom McCabe as A.A. Milne, author of the Pooh tales. McCabe is a master of kids' entertainment—he even performed at the White House once—and at the Paintbox, everyone is part of the show. Be prepared for improv, audience involvement and unusual props.

July 8-11, $7, 10:30 a.m., The Paintbox Theatre, Theatre 14, Mendenhall Center for the Performing Arts, Green Street, Northampton, (413) 585-3220, www.newcenturytheatre.org/paintbox.html.
