Fox News' Neil Cavuto and guest Michael Karolchyk recently debated whether Dr. Regina Benjamin is too fat for the "symbolic" position of Surgeon General. Neil introduced the segment like this:

Brilliant, dedicated, experienced and, oh yeah, fat. The President's pick for Surgeon General is fat. Not a lot fat, but enough fat for my next guest to say fat chance for Dr. Regina Benjamin to even be considered.

Cue the meathead. Karolchyk apparently owns a gym of some sort, and he insists that Dr. Benjamin (who owns a clinic that was twice destroyed by hurricanes. During the rebuilds, she offered health services out of her truck) is 50 or more pounds over weight and that she is a size twenty. This man has no knowledge of Dr. benjamin's personal life, health history, family history, or dietary habits. He is judging her strictly on appearance, and it is evident that his claim holds no water as even Cavuto is obligated to challenge him.

However, the topic not broached by Cavuto is one that is glaring to me: would Dr. Benjamin's weight even come into question if she were a man? I doubt it.

"No Chubbies?" Is Karolchyk anti-sex, too? Or is he standing up for incompetents' rights?

UPDATE: It's doubtful that Karolchyk's shirt was code for guys who have problems in the sack. Turns out it's doubtful that, even if it is the case for Karolchyk, he would admit it. Here's the link to his official web site. His company, called Anti-Gym claims to deliver to it's clients, "a trim tummy, all-night stamina, and a look that turns heads when they enter the room." Thier slogan is "Have sex with the lights on." In other words, Karolchyk condones an exercise regimen that aims to perfect appearance only, not health. This is the guy Fox News accepts as a fitness/health expert?
