Those townhall disrupters–just reg'lar folk, out to raise their voices? I'm sure some of them are. Many of them appear to be frightened people who are old enough to oppose government in healthcare while participating in Medicare, the government healthcare program.
The astroturf nature of the whole thing has been repeatedly exposed, but in the wake of actual physical fights breaking out in Florida (interesting debate tactic), it bears noting just how disingenuous the whole mess is becoming.
Check out this townhall appearance by Wisconsin's Heather Blish–"not affiliated with any party," she says, just a concerned mom from down the street. A local reporter visited her Facebook and discovered that this "grassroots protester" used to be Vice Chairman of the Kewaunee County GOP, claims affiliation with the RNC, and worked on the campaign of the Republican who ran against the Congressman she's speaking to. Interesting what happens when TV reporters go the extra mile.
She lies to the reporter in fairly bald-faced fashion.
And just for fun, here 'tis again. Heaven knows we shouldn't dream of fixing our system:

POINTS FOR TROLLS:
14) I'll soon be opening "Heflin's World," a wonderland simultaneously in Louisiana and Alabama where the cheese tater tots are free, the crawfish always bite and the bumper cars have fins.
3) The Cato Institute? The same place where Clouseau's trusty valet learned karate? That is cool.
ADDITIONAL: As a wiser man than I once said, "If you act like a dumbsh@$%, they'll treat you like an equal."
At least watching the escalating attempts to be engaged for its own sake are minimally entertaining.
This is not difficult, oh Trollers: I don't turn off or edit comments because I believe in even the right of mere provocateurs to say what they want in this public forum, even when they say annoying or dumb things. Putting that belief into practice is more important to me than tangling with an endless and pointless briar patch, on the other hand.
That townhall protesters are attempting to shut up their oppenents is, after all, the whole current point, which one might think was readily apparent had the above prose been comprehended.
Happy barnacling!
JAMBALAYA: To accept the term "union thug" makes an argument nothing but lagniappe, General. I ain't that dumb.
"HOLLY: Three million years from Earth, the mining ship Red
Dwarf. Its crew: Dave Lister, the last human being alive; Arnold
Rimmer, a hologram of his dead bunkmate; and a creature who evolved
from the ship's cat. Message ends.
Additional: As the days go by, we face the increasing
inevitability that we are alone in a godless, uninhabited, hostile and
meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh, haven't you?"
