A really cool band whose second album just arrived at our offices–Hoots & Hellmouth. Sort of bluegrass-y, but with healthy doses of about 18 other things if you listen to a few songs. They're coming to town soon, and here's a video for your enjoyment.
It's a bit weird to see major near-headbanging with acoustic music, but then again, I can't talk–I played guitar and mandolin and sort of sang in an acoustic punk Irish band called Tir Na Nog for several years in college, and much long hair and silly headbanging was involved there, too. "Danny Boy" in particular seemed to be cause for moshing.
