Human beings, especially artists, can have complicated relationships with animals. At least that is the premise of Animals in Art. Artist Jane Lund highlights the importance of animals in human artistic, cultural and social life, challenging her fellow artists to create work about creatures, both cuddly and non-cuddly. The exhibit celebrates the complexity of animal life with art that is as varied as the animal kingdom itself. It includes work from more than 50 artists in an array of media ranging from photography to painting to sculpture.
