I would like to join Laura Ingraham in registering a complaint against Stephen Colbert. My great-grandma was part-Cherokee, and I too cannot believe that Colbert would demean Native American culture so terribly in calling Ingraham “Ichabod Crane’s banshee widow.”
Next thing you know he’ll demean the Finns by calling her a harridan, or demean the Irish by calling her a virago. On the other hand, maybe the Finns deserve it.
And all Ingraham did was write clever jokes about Michelle Obama pigging out on ribs. If that’s not humor, what is it?
