Hobbit fans unite: a possible real-life source for Lord of the Rings?
I always feel bad for people who didn’t read Tolkien at the right age. Read it too early, it’s too complicated. Read it too late, it’s so full of dwarves and wizards and over-thought drama you’ll hurt yourself with all the eye-rolling. But read it at, say, 13, and you’ll be on board for life. Well, except for Tom Bombadil. I guess most everything has its Jar-Jar Binks.
