On Shoelaces

If you give a man (or woman, 2012, baby) a fish, he’ll eat for a day.

If you give a man (or woman) a fishing pole, he’ll eat forever.

If you give your child sneakers with laces, he’ll learn to tie them and be able to wear any damn shoes he wants.
