OK, please just ignore the fact that this is a verizon commercial and take a look at the father and son.

It’s funny because it’s true – and also sad because it’s true. After my last post about how fast our kids grow up, I had an interesting conversation with my son’s teacher. She told me she hates to think there will be a time when her kids won’t want to be with her (that’s in the post). But that she knew it would happen because that’s what kids do.

The commercial reminded me of her comment because it’s another sad truth about kids and parents. We can’t really say what we feel to each other – perhaps because there are no words – so we give our kids the elbow shove and hope they know.
