Sure, in an ideal world, everyone would clean up his own messes.
In the real world, it often falls to volunteers to pick up the slack—like Keep Springfield Beautiful, which tomorrow holds its annual citywide cleanup, part of the national Great American Cleanup.
KSB won’t just be cleaning up messes, like scrubbing off graffiti and collecting trash from roadsides and vacant lots; the group will also be planting flowers, sprucing up parks and other things to make the city a nicer place to be.
KSB and its supporters will be hard at work tomorrow, Saturday, April 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Want to pitch in? Click here to find out where to go (organizers have divided the city’s neighborhoods into four zones) and who to contact for more information.
